Cajun Shrimp (Boiling crab Style)

Okay, okay hear me out, yes there is a lot of butter in this recipe but I swear its sooo good! I LOVE this recipe and sometimes I even prefer it over going out and spending WAY too much money on something I can make at home.

INGREDIENTS:

2lb Shrimp

(In true Boiling Crab style - I get whole shrimp but you can use peeled if you prefer)

2tbsp Old Bay Seasoning

1tbsp Cayenne Pepper

1tbsp Lemon Pepper

1tbsp Chili Powder

1 tbsp Paprika

1 Whole Garlic - minced

2 sticks of Unsalted Butter

1 Whole Onion

1 Lemon - cut in half

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a stock pot boil water with lemon and onion.

  2. While you wait for water to boil - Combine all seasonings and set aside

  3. Melt butter and stir in all the garlic and seasonings

  4. Boil Shrimp until bright pink about 3-4 minutes (Depending on how bit your pot is you might have to do this in batches)

  5. With a slotted spoon strain out the shrimps and place in a pyrex ( I like to use a disposable metal tin just to make clean up easier)

  6. Pour sauce all over the cooked shrimp and toss.

Serve with rice! You can also boil some potatoes or sausage to go with this.
